Tivoli
Located only 30 km from Rome, the city of Tivoli is filled with fantastic attractions, fascinating areas, and even two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, despite its small size. The first one is Villa Adriana, an impressive complex, giving insight into life in Ancient Rome. In addition, you will be able to enjoy beautiful artifacts, such as mosaics, pottery, and ceramics.
The second is the gardens of Villa d’Este, the most famous green landscape design in Italy. Take a stroll through the narrow pathways and fountains, and explore all the different plants.

Florence
Only a high-speed train trip away from Rome, Florence is the beacon of Italian history, art, and culture. Here, you will see the mesmerizing palaces and cathedrals, such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, one of Italy’s most important Renaissance pieces.
Florence is also famous for its museums and vast art collections. Numerous sculptures, paintings, and canvases are displayed for everyone to see. Tuscania
Set north of Rome, Tuscania is a beautiful little city, surrounded by medieval charm, stone churches, high city walls, and towers. If you are a history lover, you must make time for a day trip here. The rugged beauty is mixed with soft greenery and, of course, the church of San Pietro.
On a hill that was the site of the Etruscan acropolis, San Pietro church is famous for its rose window at the front of the facade and intriguing encryptions. Unfortunately, Tuscania is not thriving on entertainment for tourists, but if you want to simply soak up untouched Italian culture, Tuscania is perfect for that.
Vatican City
Another gem on the face of Italy, Vatican City, is probably the most religiously significant place in the world. Aside from Vatican museums and gardens, the main attraction here is, of course, the Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter’s Basilica. People from all around the world travel here to see the full-time residency of the Pope and to observe Michelangelo’s masterpiece The Last Judgement, still located at the Sistine Chapel.

Pompeii
Pompeii is one of the oldest historical sites in the world, and its meaningfulness has a clear trace in the history of Italy. Back in 79 AD, Mount Vesuvius obliterated the city, leaving only ruins in its tow, becoming the most popular attraction in Pompeii. But, of course, there is also a volcano, which just adds up to it! Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre got its name because there are five villages here, each lovely and traditional. You will see plenty of family-run restaurants, as well as the Italian Riviera.
