What are the types of Kenya eVisa available?

Eligible applicants can choose from three electronic visa types to Kenya depending on their travel needs: tourist, transit, or business. All of them function as single-entry travel authorization, which means that only one entry to Kenya is allowed.

Both tourist and business Kenya eVisas are issued for 90 days and allow staying in Kenya and exploring its natural beauty or handling business affairs for maximally 3 months.

In turn, the transit eVisa remains valid for 72 hours from the intended date of entering Kenya. Transit visa holders can use it only to make a transit stop in Kenya on the way to another destination.

There is also the East Africa Visa, which is an ideal option for tourists who apart from Kenya also want to visit Uganda and Rwanda. This type of visa, contrarily to all types of Kenyan electronic visas, enables entering the East African countries multiple times and is valid for 3 months.
